Caring For The Sick, Elderly and Those In Need
The cost of living in Singapore has risen significantly over time and people are increasingly finding difficulties in obtaining affordable medical care when they fall ill. With the teachings of Reverend Song Dafeng in mind, a modern and well-equipped Free Medical Clinic was built and launched on 16th May 2001, with intentions to provide free medical care to the elderly, sick and needy, irregardless of race, language or religion. It is ISO 9001:2000 Certified
Nam Hong Free Medical Centre is one of the only few clinics in Singapore to be operating with a fully computerized system and a well-equipped Physiotherapy Department. With only a nominal registration fee of two dollars, all patients will receive necessary treatments and medication as prescribed by our well trained and well received Chinese Physicians. Currently we have six trained Physicians and five Supporting Staff.
The various types of treatments includes Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Cupping, Massage,
Heat Therapy, Health Management, Consultation, Medication or even combinations of a few treatments as our Physicians see fit.
Health Talks
Together in partnership with Health Consultant Tan Ling Ai, Nam Hong Free Medical Centre conducts a quarterly Free Health Talk to our neighborhood residents. At a recent talk conducted at the Community Centre, it concluded with a total of seven hundred participants, both young and old taking part. Topics discussed ranged from skin to heart problems. A panel of three experts took part in this talk.
Normally we will conduct our Health Talks at Nam Hong Free Medical Centre with different topics discussed every quarter. Kindly email: lingai1888@yahoo.com.sg for any questions pertaining to health.

Ms. Sim Jia Yu
(age 24, card no. 9937)
As part of our ongoing efforts to provide good services and practices, we will conduct a monthly survey with the patients. Here are some extracts from some of the beneficiaries interviewed:-

The environment of the clinic is clean and welcoming. The physicians are very friendly and make the patients feel comfortable. The $2-00 fee is very affordable, moreover it is only a stone’s throw away from my house.
Mr. Pang Chan Meng
(age 68, card no. 22866)

I was introduced to this clinic by my sister who shared with me that her friend’s legs had recovered after visiting this clinic. Previously I used to suffer pains while walking. However after seeing the doctor over a period of time, my legs are feeling better and I am walking long distances now. The doctors are very professional and the dispensary assistants are very caring and possess good service attitudes. Although I am staying at Hougang, which is very far from here, I will still make the journey to this clinic to get my legs treated.
Tan Noi Kee,
(38 years old, card no. 649)
When my son is sick, I will always bring him here for treatments. I believe that Chinese Medicine is more effective than Western Medicine. The fee over here is very affordable and coming from a low income family, it is very helpful as I do not have to worry each time any of my family members fall ill. The physicians are very warm and treat the patients well, the staff helpful and polite towards all patients. The environment is clean and bright, hence I like coming here.
